Pink is the new black

I stole this meme from the lovely Susannah:

Are your parents married or divorced?
They divorced when I was a wee one and are both married happily to amazing people now.

Do you believe in heaven?
Not the one portrayed in stories and paintings of pearly gates, fluffy clouds and white-robed angels where you have to have lived a sin-free life to enter.  I would say my idea of heaven feels like love, tastes like wine and looks more like Paris. A city known for museums where great works of art depicting the storybook version of heaven exist, however.

Have you ever come close to dying?

Yes. But only in the sense of stupid things I did in my youth, not because I wanted to end my own life.

What jewelery do you wear 24/7?
My wedding bands.

Do you eat the stems of broccoli?
Yummy!

Do you wear makeup?
Yes. Not a lot but girly stuff is fun.

Would you ever have plastic surgery?
I used to say no, and still doubt I would go under the knife for anything cosmetic, but now that 40 is fast approaching, and wrinkles are fast appearing, my opinion on things like wrinkle fillers and laser treatments are fast changing. My new motto is never say never.

What do you wear to bed?
Nothing. Unless it's cold or there are people staying over. We don't have a bedroom door so I wouldn't want to scare any guests we may have.

Have you ever done anything illegal?
Yes.

Can you roll your tongue?
Yes.

Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend?

I have a husband whom I adore.

Do you believe in abortions?
Very much so.

What is your hair colour?
Brown with what my stylist calls starburst blonde highlights placed underneath the crown.

Future child’s name, boy and girl?
I'll know when they get here and I meet them for the first time.

Do you smoke?
No.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
That is a very long list. But for now Italy and Tokyo are hopefully in the not-too-distant future.

Do you sleep with stuffed animals?
I sleep with a yummy man and a warm cat.

If you won the lottery, what would you do first?

Scream so loud people would call the police.

Gold or Silver?

Silver.

Hamburger or hot dog?
Basil pesto.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

That is an unfair question, but I will say probably blueberries since I buy them each time I go to the store.

City, beach or country?
Yes, please.

What was the last thing you touched?
My computer mouse.

When’s the last time you cried?
Last Thursday.

What colour are your pants?
Pink! I just got them. This is a breakthrough for me. I used to consider pink a very bad four-letter word.

Ever been involved with the police?

Ummm... yes.

What’s your favourite shampoo/conditioner and soap?

Pureology shampoo and conditioner. Currently, I am loving Burt's Bees Ginger and Citrus Root Body Wash. Yum.

Do you talk in your sleep?

Sometimes, according to Jimmy.

Ocean or pool?
I like the ocean in the winter when no one else is there.

What’s your favourite song at the moment?

I have really been loving Christine Kane as of late.

Have you ever had a cavity?
Just one.

Window seat or aisle seats?
Window. I like to see what is going on out there.

Ever met anyone famous?

If by famous this means celebrities than yes, a few actually. Just the geography of living in Los Angeles opens you up to seeing, and meeting, famous types. Previously working in the film industry allowed for a couple as well. Thinking about it, I guess I do have some fun stories about some I have met.
Favorite oh-my-gawd-he's-so-cool meeting? Kevin Spacey
Favorite oh-my-gawd-she's-so-crazy meeting? Tawny Kitaen
Favorite oh-my-gawd-I'm-gonna-die sighting? The entire cast of Ocean's Twelve, including that yummy George Clooney {drool} and that Brad Pitt guy. You know, if you are into that sort of thing. {wink}

Do you feel that you’ve had a truly successful life?
I love my life and I feel like I am certainly becoming more successful in creating the life I want.

Do you twirl your spaghetti or cut it?
I'm a twirler.

Are you self-conscious?
Definitely. But I am getting better at turning that into self-esteem.

Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
No. Nor do I want to.

Last gift you received?

My camera!

What occasion did you receive your gift?
Early birthday gift.

Last thing you spent lots of money on?
A plane ticket to Texas.

Where do you live?

In the lovely City of Angels

Last wedding attended?
Hmmmm. It would have to have been Jason and Amy's in Austin this time last year.

Favourite restaurant?

Madame Matisse which is a small husband-and-wife operated french cafe here in Silver Lake. We are there every weekend for breakfast.

What is your favourite kind of car?
The one I currently drive.

What’s your least favourite chore(s)?
Cleaning the bathtub and vaccuming.

Favourite drink?
Wine. But I also love water with lemons or cucumbers, pomegranate juice with sparkling water, herbal teas and dirty martini's.

Madame Matisse looks awesome! I'll have to drag the hubby out to Silverlake some weekend morning and grub on some yummy brunch :)

I enjoyed yours so much, I was inspired to do my own Q&A.

Lovely meme, I've also done this one.

XO

ahem. i think we need more info on the Clooney story ;-) x

You bought PINK??? I am in shock! Enjoy the new pants, though. Pink is not so scary, I assure you -- although my pink fetish of the past 3 years has faded a bit & now it's all about chocolate brown and orange (but not together). We all know chocolate goes best with pale blue or aqua & orange simply stands alone! XOXO

love the pink pants! they rock :)

hmmm ... pink used to be a dirty word for me too but i just bought a pink phone and a pink tee and oh well i've pretty much embraced it like crazy these days :)

we've been loving the burts bees ginger and citrus root body wash since last week sometime, so wonderful!

this was such a fun read ~ i must do my own :)

You have to take a picture of you in those pink pants-I bet they look so cute. I'm there with you on your favorite drinks- I'll take the first and last now :)

Kudos to you for buying pink pants!! :)

I could never do it. My hips are far too wide to handle pink on them. Now pink tops are a different story, I love them!!!

Yea, I was always jealous of you with those "no cavity" teeth!! Only one, that's awesome though!!!

Oh, how I hated pink when I was younger, but like you and many of us, I have learned to embrace it too. (and it is Ayden's favorite color..he he)

Somehow, I just know that you look fabulous in those oh-so-cute pink pants honey.

This was great fun to read, as I always enjoy all of these tidbits about people.

lot of love
xoxoxo

I love memes. They give readers an interesting perspective on the author.
