this video was introduced to me over the weekend. while this is obviously not a political blog ~ if you have read my 100 things list (which i now see needs to be seriously updated) ~ you know where i stand with regards to my political stance.
i have been seeing this video pop up on a couple of my favorite blogs and wanted to share it here with you in case you have not yet witnessed it's power and message of hope.
may i just say no matter your political stance, i hope you can agree that it has been far too long that a candidate has inspired enough people to come together and work towards a positive change.
yes, we can.
*edited to add: my friend (and the minister that married jimmy and i), brandon, wrote a powerful piece on where he stands. if you are voting on Super Tuesday tomorrow, check it out.

Two things:
1) Who is your famous rockstar cousin?
2) It's not nice to tease people by telling them you have a secret and then not telling the secret (see #101)!
Okay, a third:
3) I formally endorsed Obama on my blog (do you like how grandiose I make that sound? that's how I roll), but I didn't find the video super compelling. I realized I was playing Spot The Celebrity instead of letting the message wash over me.
Wait! A fourth:
4) Have you and Señor j! picked out a name yet? I don't ask because I want you to share it if you have, but I think you would write an interesting post about your process and feelings about it.

You know I registered my e-mail address when he first started running. I wanted to be informed. I have been very happy watching him and not only what he says, but how he is truly interested in change.
We can not have business as usual any longer.
Also, people need to vote no matter what their personal stance is on all the candidates. I believe that has been the major problem in the past.
Hi Brandon!

You know how I roll politically, and even I'm pulling for this type of change. It's awe inspiring to see a candidate who can actually get the youth of this country to care about politics and government without a draft.
